We are always looking for talented individuals to join our team. We are currently recruiting for the following open positions:

eLearning Applications & LMS Programmer

Illumina Interactive has a full-time opening for a talented web, multimedia and eLearning applications & LMS programmer in our Dedham, MA office. In this position, you will collaborate with small teams of designers and developers to produce engaging, interactive web-based training applications for our healthcare, biotechnology, government and educational clients.

The following knowledge, skills and abilities are required for the position:

  • MS/BS in Computer Science or equivalent with 2+ years of development experience; experience with new media/technologies & eLearning - including LMS principles, SCORM and AICC - will be preferred;
  • Experience building/customizing scalable web sites within a CMS/ Framework;
  • Strong knowledge of Linux Apache, MySQL, & PHP (LAMP);
  • Experience with Drupal and Moodle development and administration including installation and customization;
  • HTML markup using PHP as a templating language, and XML encoding and decoding;
  • Proficient with CSS, Javascript, JQuery, AJAX;
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design, analysis, and programming;
  • Excellent technical communication skills in both written and spoken English.

A strong set of communication and interpersonal skills is also essential, as the eLearning Applications and LMS Programmer will work closely with both staff and freelancers, and will have direct contact with Illumina clients. The successful candidate will be organized and efficient, creative and detail-oriented, and able to multitask and prioritize assignments effectively.

eLearning & Multimedia Developer

Illumina Interactive has a full-time opening for a talented web, multimedia and eLearning production and development specialist in our Dedham, MA office. In this position, you will collaborate with small teams of designers and developers to produce engaging, interactive web-based training applications for our healthcare, biotechnology, government and educational clients.

Knowledge, skills and abilities needed for the position are:

  • Must be highly-skilled with Articulate e-Learning Suite and Adobe Captivate. Other PowerPoint conversion tools (Adobe Presenter), screen-casting tools (Camtasia, etc.) and multimedia production tools for digital video and audio editing are all a strong plus;
  • Proficiency with web development tools, including Dreamweaver, as well as HTML, CSS, Javascript and JQuery to produce clean, browser-independent web sites with complex interactive designs and layouts;
  • Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator and similar tools to produce optimized, web-ready graphic files;
  • Experience with Flash to create animations and animated banners – expertise with ActionScript 2.0 and 3.0 a very strong plus;
  • Familiarity with PC and Mac platforms and multiple browsers (Firefox, IE, Chrome, Safari);
  • Familiarity with “Web 2.0” tools (blogs, forums, wikis), concepts, and social media a plus.
